this month I've been reading Trespasses by Louise Kennedy and Rouge Justice by Stacy Abrams. Stacy Abrams stretches my brain trying to understand all of the legal content.
I always love watching Apple Cheeks videos but her Taiwan travel ones this month have been really enjoyable.
One of my new years goals is to really lean into reading!!! Something I’ve always loved but never seemed to do much of!, I’m on book 7 of the year so far, which is UNHEARD of~
So far I’ve really loved Small Things Like These, Young Mungo, and Tuesdays in Winter
Also so odd, but I’ve been getting a Willie Nelson, which has been fun!
Love this! Reading: Undoctored by Adam Kay because seeing him in April and wanna be caught up! Film: how to have sex (on mubi!). Beautifully filmed, haunting, real. TV: Still on the bear, loving it but for some reason it’s taking me a while. Listening to: Shameless podcast ... my go to literally every time - pop culture always
Reading: I Have Some Questions For You by Rebecca Makkai. I've just finished this and loved it, it's a bit of a slow burn mystery thriller which poses some interesting questions about the true crime genre. Also, just great creepy boarding school in the middle of winter vibes.
Film: The Holdovers - very cosy and heartwarming film. I'm just now realising the location is also a New England boarding school so that's a bit of a trend for me apparently.
TV: Slow Horses! I cannot recommend this to more people. I seem to be the only one in my social circle with apple tv so if anyone has it - please give this a go :-)
Listening: mostly to podcasts - a new favourite for me is Script Apart where screenwriters talk about how their first-draft scripts evolved into the finished film/series.
