Coming at you with a song I wrote last month 💌

My favourite song on Brat is Sympathy Is A Knife; it captures the nuances of a complex female friendship so well. One of the most beautiful things about being a girl is how quickly intimacy develops in our friendships — those coffees that turn into dinners that turn into drinks where you dissect your lives over many hours are some of my favourite memories. But they rely on a foundation of honesty and trust, and sometimes you find out one or both of those is compromised. This is a song about getting the sense that someone isn’t being wholly honest with you, while also realising you’re probably not being truly honest with them either.
